Hitoshi Doi (土井仁志 Doi Hitoshi?) was born October 17, 1963 in Chigasaki, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan.[1] He runs one of the oldest and largest English language anime and seiyū information websites, established on June 10, 1994,[1] though he has participated in online English-language forums about anime since at least 1989.[2]

Doi's seiyū database had over 50,000 entries in 2001,[3] expanding to over 76,000 entries in August 2006.[4] He has over 9400 individual pages on his site,[1] and is one of the most well-known fans of anime and seiyū in the English-speaking world,[5] amassing almost 100,000 hits to his website every day.[1]

Hitoshi started baseball career in 1989, and won awards in 1992, 2001, 2002.

Hitoshi Doi made was interviewed in CBC's Undercurrents, about the otaku culture. The interview was premiered on 1996-11-22 on CBC.
