Hol is a municipality in the county of Buskerud, Norway.
The municipality (originally the parish) is named after the old farm Hol (Norse Hóll), since the first church was built here. The name is identical with the word hóll m 'round (and isolated) hill'.
The coat-of-arms is from modern times (1991). It shows three anvils. (To represent the many forges that have been in the municipality.)
Hol Bygdemuseum, along the road from Ål to Geilo in the small village of Hagafoss. The museum is built as an old farm, — holingsgard, with buildings of the local type. A total of 17 buildings. Two of them, Nestegardsstugu and Raunsgardsstugu, have decorative paintings on the walls.
Dagali Museum, in the middle of Dagali, on the brink of Hardangervidda. A museum with 10 buildings. The oldest building dates back to 18th century, and they come from Dagali, Skurdalen, Tunhovd and Uvdal.
