"Hollywood" is the fourth single from one of Jay-Z's solo albums, Kingdom Come. The song features Jay-Z's longtime girlfriend, R&B singer Beyoncé. The song was set for release in March 2007. The song is also featured on Beyoncé's B'Day Deluxe Edition with more of Beyoncé's vocals and less of Jay-Z's under the title "Welcome To Hollywood". With an original release date of February 2007, the release date of this has been repeatedly pushed back probably due to Beyonce's duet with Shakira "Beautiful Liar" being released at the same time as "Hollywood". The single was supposed to be released in the UK in the summer of 2007, but plans were later scrapped.
A video for Jay-Z's album version does not exist but an official video was created for "Welcome to Hollywood" using clips of different Beyoncé videos (much like the "Lose My Breath" megamix on the Destiny's Child Fan Pack II). The video is played as an interlude on Beyoncé's B'Day Tour, The Beyoncé Experience.
Hollywood entered Billboard's R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks chart in February 2007, and achieved a peak at #52. Later Hollywood entered LCC Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart in April 2007, and achieved a peak at #4. It also charted in Australia, reaching number #25 on the urban chart and at #47 on the physical singles chart as well as #98 on the ARIA top 100 singles.
