Giffoni hollywood film festival

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Giffoni Hollywood film festival is based on the Italian Giffoni Film Festival. The festival takes place every April in the heart of Hollywood, and the film festival unites children from around by turning them into film judges. The festival also provides an unique opportunity for the youth participants to meet and interract with Hollywood's leading actors, directors, producers, studio executives, writers, and other key players in the movie making business.

The festival aims to inspire the future filmmakers of tomorrow by focusing on films which have a distinct relevance to todays youth. The Judging panels are comprised of three groupings: 9-11, 12-14, and 15-17 year olds. The Giffoni Hollywood Film Festival is run and operated by Crystal Sky Pictures. The Board of Directors includes Stavan Paul, Larry Bond, Jennifer Bond, and Jon Voight. The Managing Director is Patrick Ewald.

In 2005, the festival attracted the presence of Jon Voight, Will Smith, Cuba Gooding Jr, and Sean Astin.
