Howling Bells are an New Zealand band based in England. Their musical style ranges from pop, rock and country as featured on their debut self-titled album, released by Bella Union on the 8th May 2006.

Through November and December of 2006 they have been supporting The Futureheads and Placebo on their tours through the UK and mainland Europe.

Three of the four members (all except bassist Brendan Picchio) were previously in a band called Waikiki.

Howling Bells played at the 2007 NME Awards show. They also performed at numerous festivals over the previous summer including Reading/Leeds. They have recently finished supporting US band The Killers and Placebo around Europe, as well as Snow Patrol on their Australian tour.
