"I Just Wanna Love U (Give It 2 Me)" was the first single from rapper Jay-Z's 2000 album The Dynasty: Roc La Familia. It is produced by The Neptunes and features a chorus sung by Neptunes member Pharrell as well as Shay Haley and Clinton Sparks. The video for the song contains cameos from rappers Beanie Sigel, Omillio Sparks Lil' Kim, Jermaine Dupri, Damon Dash, Lil' Cease, Memphis Bleek, and actor John Witherspoon. Its beat contains samples from "I Wish" by Carl Thomas (or The Countdown Singers) and "I Want You Back" by The Jackson 5, while its chorus contains interpolations from "Give It to Me" by J. Johnson. A music video directed by David Meyers was made for "I Just Wanna Love U."

All Music Guide's Steve Birchmeier considers "I Just Wanna Love U" to be "a fun, playful song miles away from the rugged Ruff Ryder beats Swizz Beatz had been offering Jay-Z a year earlier."[1] In addition, Rob Marriot of Rolling Stone and Steve Juon of RapReviews.com describe it as a club-ready[2] track that will get "whips hopping from coast to coast."[3]: these remarks explain why it reached #11 on The Billboard Hot 100 making it the most successful Jay-Z single at the time.
Jay-Z's opponents often cite Jay-Z's common "biting" or reusing lyrics from other artists' songs. On "I Just Wanna Love U (Give It 2 Me)," Jay-Z "bites" from "The World Is Filled..." by The Notorious B.I.G.. The writers of "The World Is Filled..." all received writing credits for "I Just Wanna Love U."
