The Municipality of Imus (Filipino: Bayan ng Imus) is a first class municipality in the province of Cavite, Philippines. According to the 2000 census, it has a population of 195,482 people in 42,232 households.

Because of its strategic location at the entrance to Cavite province from Metro Manila, Imus was the site of two major Katipunero victories during the Philippine Revolution against Spain, the Battle of Imus (September 3, 1896) and the Battle of Alapan (May 28, 1898 - when the Philippine flag was first flown), that are celebrated annually in the municipality. The Imus Historical Museum honors the municipality's history with lifelike scenes from the revolution.

The Cavite Provincial Government, under the leadership of Governor Ayong Maliksi, considers Imus as the capital of the province. The distinction of Imus being the capital started when Maliksi, a former Imus town mayor, first assumed the governorship in 2001 and as one of his first official acts constituted the transfer of the provincial capital from Trece Martires to Imus.

However most, including the national government, Manila-based media and references, and most Caviteños, consider Trece Martires City as the official capital of Cavite.

Imus is politically subdivided into 97 barangays.
