"Kalpol Introl" was used in Pi, a movie by Darren Aronofsky.

Sean Booth and Rob Brown have claimed that Incunabula, rather than a deliberate attempt at an album, is actually a compilation made by Warp right after they were signed.

The album's title is a Latin word, the plural of incunabulum, the term used for printed books published prior to 1501, or more generally for something in its infancy or early stages or development.

"Eggshell" was featured in a more basic, danceable form on the (Artificial Intelligence) compilation as "The Egg".

A video was produced to accompany "Bass Cadet" by Jess Scott Hunter. This album was also released on a special edition metallic grey vinyl, which was limited to 1000 copies.

The sleeve is designed by Sheffield based design agency The Designers Republic (TDR). TDR are responsible for many Autechre sleeves.
