The Canadian Information and Communications Technology Council (ICTC) is a not-for-profit sector council addressing human resources needs in the information and communications technology (ICT) sector. Founded in 1992 as the Software Human Resources Council (SHRC), ICTC adopted its new name in October 2006 to reflect its expanded mandate.[1]
ICTC provides:
- skills definitions (comparable to the National Occupational Classification)
- labour market intelligence
- career awareness
- professional development
ICTC is one of 31 sector councils funded in part by the Government of Canada's Sector Council Program.[2]
