Isotta Ingrid Frieda Giuliana Rossellini, (b. June 18, 1952 in Rome, Italy)) is the daughter of the late actress Ingrid Bergman and the director Roberto Rossellini. In addition, she is the twin sister of the actress Isabella Rossellini. She also has a brother, Roberto Ingmar Rossellini, and a half-sister, Pia Lindström.

Rossellini received a BS, MA and Ph.D in Italian Literature from Columbia University in New York City, New York. Furthermore, while obtaining her doctorate, she studied under Maristella Lorch and Luciano Rebay.

In 1976, Rossellini served as a makeup artist in her mother's film A Matter of Time. In 1995, Leo S. Olschki Editore, an Italian publisher of literary criticism, published her book, Nel Trapassar del Segno: Idoli della Mente ed Echi della Vita nei 'Rerum Vulgarium Fragmenta'. In this book, Rossellini fundamentally analyzes Petrarch's Il Canzoniere.

Rossellini has taught Italian literature at both New York University, where she is an adjunct professor, and at State University of New York at Stony Brook. She has also taught World War II Italian cinema at Princeton University and literature of social reflection at Harvard University.[1] For her Italian cinema classes, she lectures on the Italian Neorealism of her father's works, emphasizing his later work for Italian television.

Rossellini has two children with her husband, Richard Aborn. She was previously married to Alberto Acciarito (1979-1982), who was convicted in 1998 of harassing her and sentenced to a year in prison.
