IJC is equipped with 5 Lecture Theaters. LT1 is the biggest theater in the school which can accommodate about 600 students. There are learning studios, also known as classrooms which can accommodate about 20 students and tutorials are held inside the learning studios. IJC is also the only JC in Singapore to have a blue studio of its own. Other facilities include the gym, a 2-storey library, dance studio, volleyball court, netball court, squash court, futsal court, basketball court, 8-lane track, field, air rifle range, CCA blocks, and many other great facilities to be discovered by students.
Innova Junior College is the first college in Singapore to have a student parliament. The student parliament is headed by a Judiciary, consisting of the school management and Student Council teacher advisors with full veto power over any decision made by the Cabinet.
Below the Cabinet is the Parliament, which is divided into three ministries, namely the Ministry of Welfare, the Ministry of Project Management and the Ministry of Communication. The members of the Ministries come from the Students' Council. The Parliament has the power to decide on certain crucial decisions.
The concerns of the student body are represented by the Constituency Representatives, which consists of CCA leaders, Civics Group Chairpersons and House Captains. They can choose any Ministry they want to work in to further the concern of the students.
Finally, there is the Electorate, or the student body. Every leader within the entire parliament will be chosen by students in one way or another. The Electorate will also be consulted through surveys and termly forums wherever possible to have their views represented.
The College uses the House system aims to foster team spirit and a sense of belonging in students and teachers to the house and to the college at large.
The 4 Houses in IJC are taken from the Acronym S.T.A.R and each House represents a constellation:
- S- Sagittarius
- T- Taurus
- A- Aquila
- R- Rasalas
