International Fixed Calendar League

The International Fixed Calendar League (IFCL) was an organization that campaigned to establish the International Fixed Calendar, a calendar of 13 months of 28 days each with one extra day at the end of each year called the "Year-day".
The IFCL was founded in 1923 by Moses B. Cotsworth, who subsequently became its director. From its London headquarters, the IFCL helped to form national committees to promote the simplification of the Gregorian calendar. Initially the IFCL attracted the sympathy and some support of the League of Nations. Their collaboration, however, ended in the late 1930s due to lack of consensus, and the IFCL ceased activities shortly thereafter.
