International Indian Film Academy

The International Indian Film Academy, or IIFA, is an organisation that promotes Hindi cinema globally. IIFA is supported and co-sponsored by Wizcraft Internation Entertainment Pvt. Ltd., which is a premier event management and entertainment agency. IIFA's brand-ambassador is Amitabh Bachchan. IIFA also organizes yearly awards and film weeks in a particular country to promote the Hindi Films and celebrate best movie, best director, best actor, best actress and other major award segments. The films awards were first organized in Millennium Dome in London in 2000. After that, IIFA went through Sun City, Malaysia, Johannesburg, Singapore, Amsterdam and Dubai.

IIFA awards are most awaited awards after Filmfare Awards in Bollywood. It is held yearly in particular place with IIFA's film festivals and film premieres. IIFA's world-class events are not less than a Academy Award Ceremony of Los Angeles. IIFA awards are organized since 2000 and then it is growing year by year. The IIFA awards is also major event of IIFA weekend.

IIFA film festivals are held in different countries per year. It is so to reach Indian cinema worldwide. A 3-day film festival was held in Amsterdam, June 2005. It showcased major and finest bollywood cinema to the Dutch audience. Last time it was held in Dubai in 2006.

IIFA also organises film premieres where the IIFA awards would held. The premires are attended by the stars of bollywood. Premiere evening would usually commence with a wine and cheese welcome followed by the film premiere and dinner party. Last year, film Parineeta was premiered in Dubai.
