drh. Irwandi Yusuf, M.Sc. (born in Bireuen, Nanggröe Aceh Darussalam, August 2, 1960), is current Governor of Aceh between 2007-2012. He won NAD regional election 2006 from independent candidate (non-party), along with Muhammad Nazar, S. Ag. as his partner.

Irwandi Yusuf is the alumni Syiah Kuala University's Veterinary School in 1987, and in 1988 he became a lecturer in the same school (until his victory). In 1993, he got scholarship for master's program in Oregon State University's College of Veterinary Medicine. Irwandi Yusuf was former Free Aceh Movement people.

When official result of Acehnese regional election 2006 had not been announced, various institutes that had conducted quick count calculation calculated state that both Irwandi Yusuf and Muhammad Nazar filled the highest rank of vote result 39.27%, as announced by Public Issue Network (JIP) and Indonesian Survey Circle (LSI) [1].,.
