It is a wholly owned subsidiary of ICON.NET SA a privately held tourism & hospitality corporation based in Zug, Switzerland. The company was created in 2002 and is run by Graham Leslie, previously CEO of Serena Hotels and Chairman of Tourism Promotion Services, which is a subsidiary of the Aga Khan Development Network.

IXeo has built the largest 'live' travel databases online, combining accommodation and flights booking information plus a Concierge feature that enables users to assemble custom holiday packages. IXeo is unique in its sector providing complete tailored packaging for independent travel planning and the website has a new approach to design and a patented reservation back-end system: IX-e. This white lable solution can be used by hotels, tourism board, airlines, agents and merchants to mix and match their products on one website.

IXeo partners include travel systems company Amadeus, Galileo CRS, Lonely Planet, Pegasus Solutions and the Sabre Travel Network, part of Sabre Holdings.
