James Ashmore Creelman

James Ashmore Creelman (born 1901 - died 9 September 1941 in New York City) was an early Hollywood film writer.

Creelman worked for RKO studios from 1929 and contributed to the storyline of the many of the studios's early adventure / thriller films including the The Most Dangerous Game (film), King Kong, and The Last Days of Pompeii. He began working in Hollywood in 1924 and wrote for 30 films before stopping in 1935. He also directed the 1927 film High Hat.

Creelman committed suicide in 1941 by jumping off the top of a building.
