Jared Harris (born 24 August 1961, in London, United Kingdom) is a British actor of Irish and Welsh descent.

He is one of the three acting/directing sons of the late Irish actor Richard Harris, and his first wife, Elizabeth Rees-Williams, an actress of Welsh descent, who was also married to the late Sir Rex Harrison.

His first film appearance was in The Rachel Papers in 1989. More recently he played Dr. Charles Ashford in the movie Resident Evil: Apocalypse and 'Benmont Tench' in Jim Jarmusch's Dead Man.

On 16 July 2005, he married Emilia Fox [1].

His brothers are also in the entertainment industry, Damian Harris and Jamie Harris; Jamie was born Tudor St. John Harris, but has been known as Jamie since childhood.

He holds a B.F.A. from Duke University.
