Jay Manuel

Jay Manuel (born August 14, 1972 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada), to an Italian mother and South African father, is a make-up artist and fashion photographer, most recognizable as the creative director of photo shoots on the popular reality television show America's Next Top Model and the host of the second cycle of Canada's Next Top Model. He and friend J. Alexander, also an ANTM personality, often appear on E! Network's Fashion Wrap with Debbie Matenopoulos. Manuel hosts his own show Style Her Famous on the Style Network and recently introduced his own make-up line, Manual Override on QVC. Manuel was a pre-med student at New York University (NYU) when he began working as a make-up artist in the fashion industry.[citation needed] He also aspired to be an opera singer.[citation needed] Manuel is openly gay.[citation needed]
