Jefferson in Paris is a 1995 Merchant Ivory Productions/Touchstone Pictures' film with a screenplay by Ruth Prawer Jhabvala. The film was directed by James Ivory and produced by Ismail Merchant. Selected for Cannes Film Festival's Official Selection in May 1995.
It is about the historical figure Thomas Jefferson as the U.S. Ambassador to France, before he became President.
Starring Nick Nolte (as Thomas Jefferson) and Greta Scacchi (as Maria Cosway).
