Jessica Cristina

Jessica Cristina is a Merengue artist who was born on December 12, 1975, in Santurce, Puerto Rico.

From an early age Jessica participated in sports such as basketball, volleyball, and track and field. She was first noticed in a signing competition in 1990 at the age of 15. In 1992 she signed a recording contract with Sony Music and released her debut album "Aprendiendo a Querer". The album gave Jessica two hit songs, "Cosquillas En El Corazón" and "Todo Es Vida" featuring Ricky Martin. Two years later she released her second album entitled Más Alla, this time her music style transformed into merengue which raised her profile in the Latin music world.

In 1996 Jessica signed to the BMG label and released a new album Me Gusta Todo de Ti. The album went gold boosting Jessicas popularity. The album contained the hit single "Necesito Una Persona." In 1997 Jessica returned to the sports world, signing on to play professional volleyball with a team in Puerto Rico. The same year Jessica released her next album Natural, which was another success. She released her next self titled album Jessica Cristina in 1998, for this album Jessica actually wrote some of the songs. Jessica released her next album Pasional in 2000. Its now been 7 years since we have heard new music from Jessica, there has not been any word if she will released another album.
