Joe Odagiri (オダギリ ジョー(小田切 譲) Odagiri Jō?, February 16, 1976–) is a Japanese actor, who was born in Tsuyama, Okayama Prefecture, Japan.

Commonly known just as Odajou, and also known for unusual hairstyle and eclectic style of dressing, he is the epitome of 'cool Japan' known as much for his persona as his work. He has starred in such films as the Katsuhiro Otomo-directed live-action movie adaptation of the manga and anime series, Mushishi, where he was featured as the main character, Ginko, as well as other well-known films such as SHINOBI - Heart Under Blade.
He is also well known by much of the tokusatsu fandom in his starring role as Godai Yuusuke from Kamen Rider Kuuga. Odagiri has expressed on multiple occasions his difficulty playing the role however.
Odagiri has also experimented in music, releasing a single called Cherry the Dustman. His second album released on 4th October 2007 is divided into two works named 'White' and 'Black', each comprising of 5 tracks.
He applied to the California State University, Fresno, to study Film Dircecting, but enrolled as a student of the Theater and Arts Department by mistake.[1]
He often says that Fresno is his second homeland.[2]
