Johannine literature is the collection of New Testament works that are attached by tradition to the person of John the Evangelist. The collection is usually considered to include:

The five works show some similarity in imagary, but differ greatly in style and presentation. Some bilical scholars reject entirely the idea of a unified corpus of Johannine literature, whereas others see the works as the product of an early Christian community with links to John the Evangelist.
