John Casablancas (born December 22, 1942) is the founder and former Chairman of the Elite Model Agency Group, and founder of the world's largest modelling school. Casablancas was born in Manhattan, New York. He is the father of The Strokes singer Julian Casablancas.

He was born to Spanish parents from Sabadell, Catalonia, Spain and grew up in the United States, Mexico, and Europe. He was educated mainly in Switzerland.

Casablancas worked in a variety of jobs including managing the marketing division of the Coca-Cola franchise in the northeastern part of Brazil.
