Johnny April

Johnny "Old School" April (born March 27, 1965), is the bassist for the Alternative Metal/Hard Rock band Staind. He is one of the original members of the band and has performed on every Staind album since Tormented. In addition to bass, he usually performs backing vocals when Staind is in concert.

April was born in Enfield, Connecticut, where he worked as a mechanic and cook before joining Staind.

He uses a Carvin 5-string bass in standard tuning that he had picked up at a used music store
