Johnny Christ (born Jonathan Lewis Seward November 18, 1984) is the bassist for the metalcore/hard rock band Avenged Sevenfold, from Huntington Beach, California, in Orange County.
He is the third bassist for Avenged Sevenfold, following the departures of Dameon Ash and Justin Meacham. He first recorded on their second CD Waking the Fallen. He used to write only Johnny on his autographs until Zacky came up with the name 'Johnny Christ', and in All Excess he said It sounded kind of ballzy and it would piss some people off....I like it. He is most popular for sporting his old mohawk, stylish cowboy hats, and a piercing on his nose. He now has his hair short, colored black and blonde, but he's changed it to other colors like red. He resides in Huntington Beach, Orange County.
