The Jordanian Armed Forces (القوات المسلحة الأردنية) with all of it branches, is under direct control of the King of Jordan.

The Jordanian Armed forces is also referred as, The Arab Army (الجيش العربي).

The main objectives of the Jordanian Armed Forces are:

  1. Protect the kingdom of Jordan borders from any invasion.
  2. Protect the people inside the kingdom and their rights.
  3. Protect the King of Jordan.
