Josh Walker (born February 21, 1989) is a young English footballer. He plays for Middlesbrough as a defensive midfielder and is a graduate of the club's productive youth academy along with the likes of Lee Cattermole, Stuart Parnaby, James Morrison and Stewart Downing. He has been tipped by one English newspaper as a future captain of England.
Walker is a versatile midfielder, who can also play as a central defender and has captained England's U16 and U17 teams. Having been part of Middlesbrough's FA Youth Cup winning team of 2003-04, Walker made his first team debut, scoring the final goal in a 4-2 friendly victory over Carlisle United in July 2005.
On 09, March 07, Josh signed on loan for A.F.C. Bournemouth, taking the number 38 shirt for a month.
Josh Walker is also a Gr. 12 student living in London, Ontario Canada. He currently attends Sir Frederick Banting Secondary School and plans on graduating next year. He can be reached at http://www.myspace.com/walldude
