Jurijs Andrejevs (born 16 January 1957 in Riga, Latvia) is currently the manager of the Latvian football team, having succeeded Aleksandrs Starkovs on December 2004.
He is himself a former professional footballer, played in many football clubs of Riga. He started career in FK Daugava. Also had played in FK Jūrnieks, FK Progress, FK Celtnieks, FK Alfa and FK Enerģija. He was champion with Soviet Latvia's football team FK Alfa in 1985
He is former manager of Virsliga team Skonto FC. Also has worked with FK Daugava un FK Pārdaugava. He has managed Latvian football team U21, Latvian football team U18 and Latvian football team U16.
He coached many famous Latvian players, when worked with U21. For example, they was Aleksandrs Koļinko, Aleksandrs Isakovs, Igors Korabļovs, Marian Pahars, Imants Bleidelis, Igors Stepanovs, Oļegs Blagonadeždins, Vladimirs Koļesņičenko, Dzintars Zirnis, Māris Verpakovskis, Andrejs Rubins, Viktors Dobrecovs, Viktors Morozs, Andrejs Prohorenkovs, Genādijs Soloņicins, Ģirts Karlsons and other.
He started work with Latvian football team in 2001 as assistant manager. At that moment head coach of Latvian football team was Aleksandrs Starkovs. He was assistant manager in EURO 2004 (Portugal), too.
At the end of 2004 he became head coach of Latvian football team. He won two games with many goals (4:0 with Luxembourg and Iceland) and played draw with such strong team as Russia, Slovakia and Japan. With Latvian football team he got King's Cup of Thailand in 2005.
When head coach is Jurijs Andrejevs, in Latvian football team debuted seven players: Deniss Romanovs, Antons Jemeļins, Aleksejs Višņakovs, Oskars Kļava, Kaspars Gorkšs, Deniss Kačanovs and Deniss Ivanovs.
