KASN ("CW Arkansas"), is an affiliate of The CW Television Network in Little Rock, owned by Clear Channel Communications in a duopoly with Fox affiliate KLRT 16. Its transmitter is located at Clear Channel Broadcasting Tower Redfield near Redfield, Arkansas.

The station broadcasts its analog signal on UHF channel 38 and its digital signal broadcasts on UHF channel 39.

Contents

KASN signed on the air on June 17, 1986 as an independent station, KJTM. It joined FOX in 1987, but lost the affiliation to KLRT in 1990. The FOX affiliation would change hands three times between the two stations before settling on its current Little Rock station. KASN became a UPN affiliate and a sister station to KLRT by 1995. The channel affiliated with The CW Television Network on September 18, 2006, as local WB affiliate KWBF — owned by Equity Broadcasting — opted to affiliate with My Network TV.

In addition to its primary programming from UPN and locally-produced programming, KASN previously aired content from the Shop at Home Network daily from 1 a.m. through 6 a.m. The programming was discontinued on the network's final day of broadcasting, June 22, 2006. [1]

On April 20, 2007, Clear Channel entered into an agreement to sell its entire television stations group to Providence Equity Partners.[1]
