KHHO

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

KHHO is a radio station based in Tacoma, Washington that operates at the frequency 850 Khz. Its branding is Fox Sports Radio 850 AM and it carries the entire Fox Sports Radio lineup of programs as well as the Jim Rome show weekdays from 9 a.m. to noon. The station carries play-by-play of the Tacoma Rainiers Pacific Coast League team and is also a network affilate of the Washington State Cougars radio network.

KHHO is owned by Clear Channel Communications.

The 850 AM frequency was home to for many years to top 40 radio station KTAC AM and switched call letters in the mid 1990s.

The call sign may be read "K H2O" (the chemical formula for water) and may be a reference of some kind to Puget Sound.
