KHQ-TV, also known as "Q6", is the NBC affiliate for Spokane, Washington. It broadcasts its analog signal on channel 6. The station is owned by The KHQ Television Group (a subsidiary of Cowles Publishing Company, which owns The Spokane Spokesman-Review newspaper). Its sister stations are KNDO 23 (Yakima) and KNDU 25 (Tri-Cities).

KHQ's DT2 subcarrier, which can be seen over the air on DTV channel 6.2 and locally on Comcast Digital Cable channel 115, airs NBC Weather Plus.

KHQ is one of five local Spokane TV stations seen in Canada on the StarChoice satellite provider as well as Shaw Cable in Calgary, Alberta, Edmonton, Alberta, and other markets.

Contents

KHQ is Spokane's first television station, and the only major station in Spokane to remain with its original affiliation (NBC) since it began. It signed on the air on December 20, 1952 as a dual NBC/ABC affiliate. KREM took the ABC affiliation when it signed on air in 1954, but KHQ kept the NBC affiliation, which it retains to this day.

Traditionally, KHQ has been known as "Q6," but the station seems to have been shying away from that branding in recent years. KHQ still uses the "Q6" logo, but it's now exclusively verbally referred to on-air by its call letters.

The station's digital channel is multiplexed:
