KKFN

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

KKFN, AM 950, is an all-sports talk radio station in Denver, Colorado, USA.

KKFN is the flagship station of the Denver Nuggets (National Basketball Association), Colorado Avalanche (National Hockey League), the University of Denver athletic department, and the Colorado Rapids of Major League Soccer.

The "Irv and Joe Show" is a longtime favorite on this station; the program is now also simulcast on Altitude Sports and Entertainment on television. KKFN also added Jim Rome, as well as some shows from Fox Sports Radio, when format rival KKZN (AM 760) dropped sports talk for progressive talk radio in late 2004. (KKFN now has two competitors, KLZ 560AM and sister station KEPN 1600AM.)

KKFN is owned by Lincoln Financial Media (formerly Jefferson-Pilot Communications).

From 1954 to 1995, this was "95 KIMN," playing top 40 and other forms of music.
