KXNT-AM {"The Talk Station"} is a CBS Radio owned radio talk station in Las Vegas that is about half local and half sydicated. It is one of the highest rated radio stations in Las Vegas.

Former call is KVEG. KVEG AM 840 was a country station in the 1980's playing newer country with some old favorites. KVEG became a sports station in the early 90's before becoming talk radio in 1995. The sports company responsible for KVEG's sports programming was sold.

KVEG had a wide variety of drivetime talent including Sam Greenfield, Dominick Brascia, Lou Epton, Irwin Schiff and the syndicated Tom Leykis. In 1997, KVEG changed calls to KXNT. Management was looking to head this new station in a new direction. There would be a new lineup too! The new KXNT AM 840 "The Talk Station" would be a strong competitor against KDWN AM 720 in the coming years.

KXNT AM 840 would begin airing syndicating programs like Rush Limbaugh & Art Bell {Previously On KDWN}. Others included Dr. Laura, Bill Handel, etc. Local shows hosts include Alan Stock, Casey Hendrickson, and Jodi & Patrick. KXNT AM 840 "The Talk Station" continues to be the # 1 talk station In Las Vegas.

Mornings on KXNT, one can also hear Alan Stock discuss the issues of the day from a conservative perspective. Alan Stock recently appeared in Talkers Magazine as one of the 100 most important people in the talk radio market. Stock's co-host is currently Kerri Kasem, who replaced Heidi Harris in 2006. Kerri Kasem brings a "Morning Zoo" feel to the show. Casey Hendrickson tried out for the popular "Radiostar" contest in early 2005, and has since been promoted to the Weekday 6p-8p slot.

Syndicated weekday hosts include Rush Limbaugh, Dr. Laura Schlessinger, Sean Hannity, George Noory and Mike Gallagher.
