Kardam, Prince of Turnovo

Prince Kardam of Bulgaria, Prince of Turnovo, Duke of Saxony (born December 2, 1962), is eldest son of tsar Simeon II of Bulgaria and his wife Doña Margarita Gomez-Acebo y Cejuela, however born after his loss of the throne. As such, he is by courtesy also sometimes styled as if being a crown prince. He is known also as Kardam of Bulgaria and Kardam of Turnovo, the latter being the title of heir apparent of Bulgarian throne.
He was born in Madrid and has a Master's degree in Agricultural Economics from Penn State University.
In July 11, 1996 Kardam married Doña Miriam Ungria y López, a gemologist and historian. They have two sons:
- HRH Prince Boris of Bulgaria born October 12, 1997 in Madrid.
- HRH Prince Beltran of Bulgaria, born March 23, 1999 also in Madrid.
