Katie Gearlds (born October 26, 1984[1]) is a basketball player currently attending Purdue University. She earned the Big Ten Tournament Most Outstanding Player Honors for 2007 after Purdue defeated Penn State in the Big Ten championship[2]. She also won both the woman's and overall State Farm College Three Point Championships on March 29th, 2007[3], defeating male competitor Aaron Brooks 17 baskets to 16. On April 4, 2007, Katie was selected by the Seattle Storm with the seventh pick in the 2007 WNBA Draft.
