KFTL 28 is an affiliate of Home Shopping Network for the San Francisco Bay Area. KFTL-TV 28 also airs a mix of religious, Korean, and Vietnamese programming.
KBIT-TV was founded in the mid 1990s as KBI-TV 30 and was formerly affiliated with The Box (a 24 hour a day music network). KBIT-TV (KBI-TV 30) Also aired classic tv during the day. KBI-TV 30 changed affiliations to HSN. Call sign and station number were changed to KBIT-TV 28 shortly after. KBIT-TV 28 changed call letters once again to KFTL-CA 28 when KFTL-TV 64 (now KFTK-TV 64) was purchased by Univision and became a Telefutura affiliate.
