Kenneth Macintosh (born 15 January 1962) is a politician in Scotland. He is a member of the Labour party, and is currently MSP for the Eastwood constituency. He was first elected in the 1999 Scottish Parliament election and retained his seat in the 2003 and the 2007 election.

Macintosh was born in Inverness and was educated at the Royal High School and the University of Edinburgh. Before entering the Scottish Parliament he was a television producer for BBC News. He and his wife Claire live in Busby in East Renfrewshire with their four children, and a fifth on the way.

After his election, Macintosh was a ministerial aide until he voted against the Scottish Executive over the closure of the A&E Department at the Victoria Infirmary in Glasgow.[1] In the next parliament Macintosh had to resign from his position as Depute Convenor on the Standards committee after it was revealed he had failed to declare a gift from McDonalds.[2] In 2006 and 2007 Macintosh has proposed a Member's Bill to the Scottish Parliament providing for the tougher regulation of sunbed parlours.[3] Since his election in 1999 has been a member of the cross-party group on cancer and has campaigned vigorously on behalf of various cancer charities, going as far as hosting an annual coffee morning for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Following his re-election as MSP for Eastwood at the 2007 election, where he was elected with the second-highest vote in Scotland, Macintosh was appointed Shadow Minister for Schools and Skills.
