Kentucky's 4th congressional district

United States House of Representatives, Kentucky District 4 is a district of the United States Congress in northern Kentucky. The district is represented in the 110th United States Congress by Geoff Davis (R).

The 4th is a long district that follows the Ohio River. The majority of the voters live in the booming largely white and suburban Cincinnati counties of Boone, Kenton and Campbell. The 4th's largest city is Covington located in Kenton County. Like many southern states, Kentucky District 4 has transitioned to supporting Republicans in the last decade, but Democrats have been making up some ground in the rural counties.

As of November 7th, 2006, there were a total of 476,480 registered voters. 250,986 (52.67%) Democrats, 184,705 (38.76%) Republicans, and 40,789 (8.56%) "Others." Until January 1st, 2006, Kentucky did not track party affiliation for registered voters who were neither Democrat nor Republican.

The election of the 110th United States Congress occurred on November 7th, 2006. Geoff Davis (R) received 105,845 votes, or 51.7% of the vote. Ken Lucas (D) received 88,822 votes, or 43.4% of the votes cast. Brian Houillion (L) received 10,100 votes, or 4.9% of the vote. A total of 204,767 votes were cast for the office in 2006, equaling 42.97% voter turnout. These results were certified by the office of Kentucky Secretary of State Trey Grayson on December 1st, 2006.
