Khanpur (Urdu: خانپور) is a city in Punjab, Pakistan.

Khan Pur is the center for Sugar cane and Cotton crop. This Tehsil is one of the largest area-wise tehsil of Rahim Yar Khan. The famous Cholistan desert is mainly located in Khanpur. Another important historical aspect of this city is that it had a status of district headquerters but lateron this status was given to the Rahim Yar Khan. Khanpur is known to be the one of oldest cities of punjab. Its Bazar(Market) is a clear evidence of this old saga of the city. Shahi Road Khanpur which leads to RahimYar Khan on one side and on the other side the respected JethaBhutta Darbar.

"Khoya and Paras" are the two sweet-meat products which are enjoyably related to this city due to their deliciousness and uniqueness in taste.

Government Tarqai-Taleem Degree College for Men is providing education in many disciplines. Masters level classes have started in this college. The Government Commerce College and Government Degree College for Women are also playing their due role in the increase of the literacy rate of the tehsil Khanpur.
