Konerak Sinthasomphone

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Konerak Sinthasomphone (December 1, 1976May 27, 1991) was a Laotian American boy, who became well-known as the 13th victim of the serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer. He was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Two young women called the police, when they saw Sinthasomphone running naked and bleeding in the street.

Sinthasomphone did not speak English very much and was unable to explain what Dahmer had done to him. The women, Sandra Smith and Nicole Childress (both 18) said a long, white man was stalking Sinthasomphone. Dahmer had also followed the boy into the street.

Dahmer claimed Sinthasomphone was his 19-year-old boyfriend. The police decided to believe him and sent the boy back to Dahmer's.

After Dahmer and Sinthasomphone were left alone, the boy was strangled, sexually abused and then dismembered. Dahmer ate some of the parts, while others were kept as trophies.

Dahmer had already abused Konerak's brother way back in 1988. Dahmer was convicted in January 1989, but the murders came into the light of day much later. Dahmer received 15 life sentences in Wisconsin, where the murders had taken place. He was later murdered in prison.
