Kotka (Finnish for eagle) is a town and municipality of Finland.

It is located in the province of Southern Finland and is part of the Kymenlaakso region. The municipality has a population of 54,860 (2005) and covers an area of 750 km² of which 478 km² is water. The population density is 204 inhabitants per km². Kotka is the largest town in Kymenlaakso region. The city centre of Kotka is located at Kotkas Island (Kotkansaari).

The municipality is officially unilingually Finnish.
