Loveppears (sometimes labelled Love appears) is Ayumi Hamasaki's second album. It was her first album from her to contain a hidden track, and followed the trend of the time of releasing remixes onto a second CD. Though unlabelled, most of the songs are album versions of the single tracks.

Notably, the song monochrome's ending was slightly modified to flow through the album better. Also, Love ~Destiny~ was resung and rearranged with new lyrics to better reflect her own feelings and was retitled Love ~refrain~. Like the debut album, this album also topped the charts and stayed on the charts for 64 weeks. The album cover was controversial at the time for her being topless. The single "Appears" was released on the same date and features a darker, tanned version of her in the same position.

This album was the breakthrough for her as the second single from this album was a major hit and the first number one for her, although the third single, To Be, only reached #4 on the charts. The singles since Boys & Girls were released on the standard 12 cm format and featured many remixes, which was now possible with the longer length of the CDs. Boys & Girls marked first million-seller for her. The single A featured four unique tracks all billed as A-sides and the CD holds the record for the longest Japanese CD single. The tracks "Kanariya" and "Fly High" were recut into limited edition singles. "kanariya" is the first recut single in Oricon charts history to hold the top position.

The style of the album is described as a mixture of R&B, rock, pop, dance, house, and trance. "Kanariya" features an uncredited male backup vocalist singing in English.

The song "Who..." has become a concert staple for Ayumi now – she ends most of her concerts with it.

The poster packaged with the album features a misprint - Hamasaki's name is spelt incorrectly. It is spelt "Ayumi Hamamsaki" - an extra "m" added.
