La Reina, Chile

La Reina (Spanish: "The queen") is a municipality (comuna) in Chile, located in the eastern part of the Greater Santiago conurbation. Administratively it is part of the Santiago Province in the Santiago Metropolitan Region.

La Reina is a leafy, residential municipality, inhabited by mostly mid to upper-mid income families, with certain areas inhabited by mid-low (Villa La Reina) and high-income (Andes foothills) groups. A small airport —Aerodrómo Eulogio Sánchez Errázuriz (better known as Tobalaba)— is located on the southern side.

La Reina has an area of 23.4 km², a population of 96,762 (2002 census) and an average household income of $66,162 in PPP US dollars (2000). It consistently ranks in the top five municipalities with the best quality of life in the Metropolitan Region.
