Lakeland Bus Lines, Inc is a privately operated charter/commuter bus operation in Dover, New Jersey. Lakeland operates commuter routes from Morris, Sussex, and Somerset Counties to New York City. Lakeland also operates two line-haul services to Atlantic City, New Jersey. The second of those lines was operated by Community Coach (A Coach USA company).

Lakeland Bus began operating buses from Dover, NJ to New York in 1952. Over time, the service was expanded to serve the Somerset Hills, Newton and Sparta areas. In 1996, New Jersey Transit began its Midtown Direct service from Dover & Gladstone to New York (this service was expanded to Montclair in 2002 with the opening of the Montclair Connection). Lakeland filed a lawsuit against NJT for destructive competition. This resulted in Lakeland operating its commuter routes for NJ Transit. This had caused some speculation in 2001 that the commuter routes would be split between PABCO Transit which operates the Morris County Metro and NJ Transit.[citation needed]
