Lambda Pi Upsilon Sorority (ΛΠΥ) (also known as Latinas Poderosas Unidas)) is a Latina based Greek letter intercollegiate sorority founded on November 6, 1992.
Lambda Pi Upsilon Sorority, Latinas Poderosas Unidas, Inc., continues its devotion towards youth, community and organizational assistance by implementing rigorous events, programs and publications, which address such issues. To be recognized as leaders of our community is accomplished by way of extreme confidence in our capabilities and actions. We provide solidarity and promote integrity for women based on our experiences and procedures.
We educate and expose the nature of our Hermandad to others, especially our family. It is our conviction that dignity for our cultures and traditions convey a deeper understanding of one's character. As Divas of Lambda Pi Upsilon, we aspire to be the voice of the community and as a priority, accentuate leadership qualities as well as uphold the beliefs of our Founding Mothers:
The organization is a member of the National Association of Latino Fraternal Organizations (NALFO).

"We exist to empower ourselves as women through learning about each of our varied cultures. And to help the underprivileged members of the American Society. We intend to gain access to success for the underprivileged members of our society through positive political and social actions within our communities, and the greater global community. In short, Lambda Pi Upsilon's goal is to change, challenge, and improve our society's defects."
