Lauren Tewes (born in Braddock, Pennsylvania on October 26, 1954) is an American actress best known for playing Cruise Director Julie McCoy on the sitcom The Love Boat.

She was released from her role on the show in 1984 after she spiraled into drug addiction. She has now been sober for many years and presently makes her living doing voice-overs and radio commercials. She says she used to spend 16 hours a day caring for her sick husband.

In the 1970s, she worked as a waitress in the infamous Continental Hyatt House coffee shop on the Sunset Strip.

She currently lives in the Seattle area of Washington state, where she is still acting in regional theater and doing voice-over work. Recent roles include Mrs. Pearce in "My Fair Lady" at the 5th Avenue Theatre in Seattle in 2003 and various characters for Imagination Theatre's various radio dramas.
