Leave

Leave can refer to paid or unpaid time off work, and is often covered by legislation, such as the United State's federal Family and Medical Leave Act of 1993.
- Parental leave is the right to take time off work, paid or unpaid, to care for your child or make arrangements for your child's welfare. Often, the term parental leave includes maternity, paternity and adoption leave.
- French leave refers to the leisurely desertion from a military unit.
- Leave (military), permission to be away from one's unit
- In law, leave may be a synonym of permission, e.g. leave of the court.
