The Leinster Council is a Provincial council of the Gaelic Athletic Association sports of hurling, Gaelic football, camogie, rounders and handball in the province of Leinster. The Leinster Council has been partnered with the European County Board to help develop Gaelic Games in Europe. Leinster Council's main contribution to this goal is the provision of referees.

Kilkenny are the most successful team in Leinster hurling having won the Leinster Senior Hurling Championship on 62 occasions as of 2006. They are also the reigning Leinster champions following their 0-22 to 1-16 victory over Wexford in Croke Park.

Dublin head the roll of honour in football having won 46 Leinster Senior Football Championship titles as of 2006. They are also the reigning champions following a 1-15 to 0-9 victory over Offaly in Croke Park.
