Leo Frankowski

Leo Frankowski (born February 13, 1943, in Detroit, Michigan)[1] is an American writer of science fiction novels. He is now a resident of Russia, where he lives with his wife and adopted teenage daughter.

Frankowski is of Polish descent.

The Conrad Stargard series, in which a twentieth-century engineer travels back in time to thirteenth-century Poland. It consists of the following books:

  • The Cross Time Engineer
  • The High Tech Knight
  • The Radiant Warrior
  • The Flying Warlord
  • Lord Conrad's Lady

Two later books feature the same characters and setting but are only tangentially related:

  • Conrad's Quest For Rubber
  • Conrad's Time Machine

Other, stand-alone books written by Frankowski include:

  • Fata Morgana
  • Copernick's Rebellion
  • A Boy and his Tank

Frankowski's most recent work has again featured Conrad Stargard. He has written Lord Conrad's Crusade in collaboration with Rodger Olsen, and has promised another Stargard book which will conclude the series.
