List of Canadian ambassadors to the United States

This is a list of Canadian envoys to the United States of America. Until 1943 Canada's representative had the rank of Envoy Extraordinary and Minister Plenipotentiary. The position was promoted to the rank of ambassador in 1943 while Leighton McCarthy occupied the position.
